Turkish Ministry of Trade DG for Imports initiated anti-circumvention investigation regarding
(1) woven fabrics of synthetic filament yarn covering most of HS Code 54.07; and
(2) woven fabrics of synthetic staple fibres under HS Code 55.13, 55.14, 55.15 and 55.16
on 24 January 2023 against the EU member states (except Bulgaria and Greece as these were already investigated and subject to measure in the past).
The investigating authority DG for Imports will investigate possible circumvention via EU members states of the anti-dumping duties imposed against the imports of the fabrics in question from S.Korea, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan at varying rates up to 44%.
If such circumvention practices are confirmed, the existing anti-dumping duty in place can be extended to imports from the EU.
All exporters and producers of the fabrics in question are required to cooperate with the investigating authority. For this they must fill out a very comprehensive questionnaire within 37 days, provide all information and documents asked during the investigation and consent to on-site verification visit. In order to participate in the investigation exporter-producers have very limited time and must act very urgently.
